Upskill U has assisted over hundreds of learners complete their qualifications in a range of industries since 2019. We pride ourselves in being personal, as we know the learning process can be a long and daunting. All our specialists are industry qualified and hold their training and assessment qualification, which allows them to understand the full scope of the qualification and ensure Government requirements are being met.

  • Sarah Nicholson - CEO and Business/ Leadership and Management Trainer

Sarah is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in project coordination, leadership, and stakeholder engagement across the sports management, government, and event planning sectors. With a proven ability to manage teams, deliver large-scale events, and implement programs that drive participation and engagement, she brings strategic insight and a collaborative approach to every project. Her strong communication skills and commitment to stakeholder partnerships underpin her success in developing and executing impactful initiatives and training individuals.

  • Danny Nicholson - Founder and Community Services Trainer

Danny founded Upskill U training 5 years ago due to his passion for helping educate and train individuals. Danny is a dedicated and compassionate professional with extensive experience in social work, counselling, and youth development. He has supported young people in both educational and community settings as a School Counsellor and a Wellbeing Officer. With qualifications in community services, counselling, fitness, and training, Danny combines practical therapeutic skills with a passion for holistic well-being. By integrating health and fitness into his counselling and teaching approach, Danny empowers young people to build resilience, confidence, and meaningful connections.

  • Asako Ono - Fitness and Sports Coaching Trainer and Assessor

Asako is an ESSA-accredited Exercise Physiologist and ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach with extensive experience in athletic development, health and physical education, and rugby coaching. With experience teaching in high schools, Asako leads fitness and sport programs that combine academic learning with practical industry experience. A former Wallaroo and Head Coach for the Queensland Schools Girls 7s, she is passionate about empowering young athletes through performance, resilience, and confidence-building.

  • Adam Holstein - Community Services Trainer

Adam is a disability and mental health professional with nearly 30 years’ experience in the disability and community sector and qualifications in Social Sciences, Disability, Leadership and Training. Adam has worked in a variety of roles including being in direct support and supervisory positions in individual support services, accommodation services, day programs and employment services. For the last 12 years he has been working as a trainer and assessor for a community services based training organisation that delivered both accredited and non-accredited training and focuses on the disability and aged care sectors. Adam is also an accomplished MC, facilitator, podcaster and presenter and has hosted events for organisations like MS Australia and SWSPHN and several other local councils and charities.

  • Kristine Tomboc - Executive Virtual Assistant

We are pleased to introduce Kristine, our Virtual Assistant from the Philippines. Kristine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and brings over five years of professional experience as a Virtual Assistant. She also holds a National Certificate in Trainer’s Methodology from TESDA, a government agency in the Philippines dedicated to advancing technical education and skills development. Kristine specialises in administrative support, social media management, and website management, ensuring seamless operations and efficient communication across the team. Her strong educational background, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence make her a valued and reliable member of our organisation.

  • You'll be assigned your own training specialist who is an expert in the industry. They'll assist you in identifying your learning requirements and filling out the enrolment form.
  • We'll be here to support you every step of the way until you are certified. You'll have regular access to your specialist via weekly video meetings and phone calls.
  • All our systems and communications are online so we can work with you no matter where you are located.
